CR Multi-Point Latching System
The new Southco® CR Multi-Point Compression Latching System provides a higher level of swing-handle latch performance for secure multi-point latching in outdoor enclosure applications that use gaskets for sealing out dirt or moisture or for EMI/RFI shielding. Multiple access-security choices – including tool access, key-locking, and padlock options – provide a broader range of vandal resistant capabilities for remote installations. Excellent ergonomics and aesthetics, sealed performance, dimensional flexibility, adjustable fit, and the convenience of swing handle design make this an attractive offering for many outdoor enclosure applications.
Key Benefits
- A low-profile handle, good aesthetic design, vandal resistance, and ergonomic performance make this a desirable design choice for most outdoor applications
- Multiple security locking features and options enable end users to choose lock styles – standard key-locking, DIN lock plug, or external padlock – for optimum vandal resistance, and flexible key code assignment and management
- Multi-point latching with compression ensures the ability to maintain a good seal despite enclosure racking after installation, and minimizes potential vandalism pry points, even with thin-profile or long-span doors
- The controlled release of compression at the center point is safer and more convenient for operators – initial unlocking raises handle partially for easy use, allowing operator to grasp the handle and turn it to release the tension slowly, under full control
- Combined clockwise and counterclockwise opening assures maximum installation versatility and operator convenience for left-hand and right-hand opening doors
- Heavy duty construction and corrosion-resistant materials help stand up to frequent use in demanding outdoor environments
- Meets Southco’s Level 3 Vandal Spec – preventing access for five minutes with heavy-duty tool set (hammer, chisel, screwdriver, pry bar, etc.)
- Key-locking style with Southco PK lock plugs offers the convenience of sharing one-key access flexibility with other Southco latches using the same lock plugs
- DIN version lock plug can be installed by Southco or by you for greater control over key code assignment
